4 After reaching the shuttle from right hand to the left Fig 2
hand bring the reed slowly towards the front centre
by using hand. At same time change the treadle
simultaneously by using leg. At this stage the shuttle
will remain in the other hand but the healds will move
from its position and cross each other i.e. the upper
heald will move to the down most position and the
lower heald will move to the upper most position.
5 In this process the reed will stay in the middle
position.

6 Move the reed frame towards the front centre. This
action is beat up. At this time move the reed slightly
at higher force. The movement should be towards
the person who is weaving the fabric. (Fig 2)
7 The beat up force must be uniform for all the weft 8 Repeat the process.
